MORE than £1,000 was raised for two charities by a Barnsley business as they took part in a 75-hole golfing challenge.
To mark Wombwell firm Billington’s 75th anniversary, golfers from across the group took part in the charity to rise money for Andy’s Man Club and Weston Park Cancer Charity.
Golfers from Billington, Shafton Steel Services, Specialist Protective Coatings Ltd and Peter Marshall Steel Chairs Ltd battled through all weathers during the challenge.
The challenge was held at Wortley Golf Club on September 9.
More than £1,000 has been raised so far, with the fundraising page still open for residents to donate.
