POLICE officers in Cudworth have stepped up their patrols following a ‘significant’ number of late night attacks in the area.

Officers from the North East Neighbourhood Policing Team are asking residents to keep their sheds and garages secure to help stop the attacks.

A police spokesperson said: “Please review the security of your shed or outbuilding especially if items of significant value are stored inside.

“We do need assistance from the public to identify who is responsible.

“If anyone has CCTV or has seen something suspicious please report it on 101, Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 or direct on barnsleynortheastnpt@southyorks.pnn.police.uk.”
