A MONK Bretton coffee shop will host a fundraiser tonight in support of Barnsley’s bugler Paul Goose.
Maggie’s Coffee Shop, on Tennyson Road, regularly holds fundraisers for local charities and groups and is run by Maggie Wood.
This month’s fundraiser, which will take place tonight from 7pm until 8pm, is for Cudworth man Paul Goose who is raising money for the hospital’s children ward in honour of those who have lost their lives to Covid-19.
There will be a raffle, a tombola and a bric-a-brac stall before Paul playing his bugle at 8pm.
Maggie said: “I saw an interview with Paul where he said he’ll be playing all of January to raise money for the children’s ward and I wondered if he would come and play at our shop.
“I asked him and he said that he would love to.
“My customers are always fantastic with the fundraisers that we run and we’ve had a good response for this.”
