BARNSLEY CCG is encouraging people to not ignore symptoms and to book a GP appointment if there are concerns about signs of cancer.
Every month GPs in Barnsley send more than 840 people to get symptoms of cancer checked – and more than 92 per cent of residents get the all-clear.
The town’s clinical commissioning group released the figures in a bid to get Barnsley’s residents talking and booked in with their GP.
