SUPERMARKET shoppers helped raise almost £200 for Barnsley Scout Group following an in-store Christmas ‘fun day’.
Jack’s, on Wombwell Lane, hosted the event so the community can come together and celebrate the festive period.
A total of £187 was raised for the scouts, who themselves performed a medley of Christmas classics while shoppers walked around the store.
Marius Nae, store manager, said: “We hope the people of Barnsley had a wonderful time at our Christmas fun day.
“It was lovely to be able to safely celebrate with everyone whilst also raising money for a wonderful charity too.”
