THERE'S still time to have your say on plans to create a youth zone in Barnsley.

The youth zone, which was developed by charity OnSide, will be located to the east of the train station, off Schwabisch Gmund Way.

The youth zone will be open to young people aged between eight and 19, or up to 25 for those with additional needs and will provide activities every day of the week.

Residents have already had the opportunity to view the plans but OnSide has extended the digital consultation until Christmas Eve.

Adam Poyner, Head of Property and Construction at OnSide, said: “We are really excited for our plans for Barnsley Youth Zone and we’re delighted to share the initial proposals with the local community ahead of the submission of our planning application in the New Year.

“I’d encourage anyone to take a look at what is on offer for Barnsley’s young people and feedback any comments they may have via the website.”
