AS the weather gets colder, residents are reminded not to double-park to allow gritters to pass.
The gritting team will be out across the borough to make sure that Barnsley's roads remain clear during plummeting temperatures.
Unfortunately the gritting vans cannot travel down streets where cars are double-parked as they are too wide.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “Our gritters often struggle getting down roads where cars are double parked.
“Help them grit our borough safely this winter by parking responsibly.”
