BARNSLEY College students had the chance to take part in a variety of workshops earlier this month in a campaign to promote entrepreneurship.
The students heard from a number of chief executives and directors including Jo Fairley, of chocolate company Green and Blacks.
She shared her message about how she left school at 16 to now head a company worth more than £110m.
Another guest speaker was James McGowan, the director at Legacy Financial, who spoke about how to set up the business and how certain he was that being is own boss would make him happy.
He added: “It was a pleasure to visit the college and speak with the students.
“I hope to have inspired more young people to take the leap of faith into the business world if that’s what they want to do and provided them with some key advice for making a success for themselves.”
