Foodbank in need of donations

A FOODBANK based in Wombwell has appealed for more donations to help keep the facility running.

The Barnsley Foodbank Partnership was founded by local churches and community groups who work together to prevent residents from going hungry.

The foodbank relies on donations from the public and has released a list of items that it requires.

These are:

• Tinned fish

• Tinned tomatoes

• Rice

• Dilute juice

• Biscuits

• Potatoes

• Tinned Fruit

• Snacks – crisps, sweets, etc

• Shampoo

• Toothbrushes

Any donations can be made to Tesco on Wombwell Lane, Tesco on Market Lane, Penistone, or Tesco on Wombwell Road, Hoyland.
