BARNSLEY Council is urging residents who are experiencing abusive behaviour to speak up.
The council’s partners IDAS - Independent Domestic Abuse Services - are available for anyone who is suffering.
A spokesperson added: “If you’re experiencing abusive behaviour from a family member or partner, please know you are not alone.
“Our partners, IDAS, are available to offer you support and advice on protecting yourself and keeping safe.

“If you are in immediate danger, call 999.”
