BARNSLEY Hospital’s car parking charges will return next month.
The charges had been scrapped at the height of the pandemic, but will now return to the same prices as before.
They apply to the public car parks on the site - car parks one and three, which should not be used by the staff at the hospital.
The exact charges can be found on the Barnsley Hospital website and they will apply from Monday, October 11.
Disabled patients and visitors with a Blue Badge will receive free parking for their visit to the site.
A parent or guardian of a child or young person under 18, who is admitted an inpatient at hospital overnight, will also receive free parking between 7.30pm and 8am while visiting their child.
A spokesperson added: “We regret we have to charge for parking at all, but the cost of security and maintenance for our car parks means we have to make a modest charge so we don’t divert money away from patient care.”
