INVITATIONS to book a coronavirus booster jab will be sent to Barnsley residents this week.
Those who have had their second vaccine dose at least six months ago are eligible for the booster jab to ‘increase their protection’.
Residents who are eligible for the booster include those living in residential care homes for older adults, all adults aged 50 and over, frontline health and social care workers and those aged 16 to 49 who have underlying health conditions.
Patients are reminded to not contact the NHS to try and arrange a booster, and that the NHS will contact patients directly.
