STUDENTS at Barnsley College had to the opportunity to pitch their business plans to to a panel of industry experts last week.

The event was part of the iTrust programme, run by the college, the Business Village and the Chronicle, which supports students interested in starting up a business in the town.

First to to pitch their business was Jake Sargison – who founded JS Landscaping and Gardening.

He closed his pitch by sharing images of some of his garden transformations and Andy shared some tips to Jake about how to manage his tax and profits as his business grows.

Jake said: “When I started my business this year, I didn’t know much about running it but with iTrust’s advice and guidance I’ve been able to learn lots about the world of entrepreneurship and become more efficient when managing my workload.”
