KIDS who want to star on TV are being encouraged to audition for a new TV series from the creator of This Is England.
Boys and girls of all ethnicities aged five to 16 are wanted to audition for the new series called The Gallows Pole.
The show is based on a book of the same name which centres around a group of weavers who attempt to forge coins to undermine the economy.
A casting call was sent out in March for adults, and now kids from Barnsley and Yorkshire are being encouraged to try their hand.
No previous acting experience is necessary.
To apply, send the child's name and the contact details of a parent/guardian, where you are based, and the child's age and date of birth along with a one minute-long video clip about the child to smcasting@shaheenbaigcasting.com.
The video clip must be labelled with the child's name and all submissions must be from a parent/guardian and the email must state that they were present when the recording was made and that they consent to it being used in casting.
The deadline closes on Monday.
