PATROLS will be carried out at a Monk Bretton quarry to help prevent antisocial behaviour in the area.
Officers from the Barnsley North Neighbourhood Policing Team will carry out patrols at the quarry off Newhill Road.
Peter Robinson, from South Yorkshire Police said: “Groups of teenagers have previously been reported for drinking, being excessively loud and littering while at the quarry.
“Officers will be in attendance over the next few days and appropriate advice will be given to anyone found at the location.”
