THERE’S new help and support available for jobseekers in the Hoyland Milton and Rockingham wards.

The Adults Skills and Community Learning Service has teamed up with the joint ward alliance to provide free help for residents who are over 19 and looking for work.

The support includes developing your CV and online applications, as well as building your confidence so that you’re ready for interviews.

The service is currently online and there’s plans to move to a local venue to offer a face-to-face service in the future.

A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “For those not in the Hoyland Milton and Rockingham wards, there’s still plenty of employment help and support available through Barnsley Council.

“There’s more information on the support in place to find a job on our website and support for young people aged 16 to 24 to find work through Advance Barnsley.

“If you’re interested in improving your skills and getting qualifications to help you get into work, ASCL has a full range on offer.”
