MORE than 2,000 homes across the town centre and Hoyland could have been affected by power cuts today.
Northern Powergrid has confirmed they are working to restore power to 2,155 properties across the S70 and S74 postcodes.
A spokesperson for Nothern Powergrid said: “For an unexpected power cut we normally restore power to 90 per cent of our customers in about 90 minutes.
“We currently estimate your power will be back on by 2.45pm.”
