IT looks like we may have to wait a little bit longer for things to go back to normal as 'Freedom Day' has been pushed back.

Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, made the announcement yesterday (June 14) that the country will remain in phase three of the Covid roadmap.

According to the roadmap, on Monday nightclubs were supposed to open up and large events could take place – including weddings with no guest restrictions.

However, due to a rise in Covid cases this date has been pushed back to mid-July.

The PM's official spokesperson said that the extension could prevent “thousands more deaths” as it gives time for more people to be vaccinated.

Anyone aged 18-24 can now receive their vaccine across the borough. To book your jab click here.
