A WOMAN has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Brampton Bierlow earlier today.

At around noon (June 2), police were called to Wath Road following reports that a man had been stabbed.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Police attended the scene and a 35-year-old man was taken to hospital by an ambulance to be treated for a stab wound.

“His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

“A 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
