A MAN with a suspected air rifle at a country park was reported to police over the bank holiday weekend.
Officers from the Barnsley North East Neighbourhood Team were called to Rabbit Ings, Royston, on Monday following a report from a concerned resident.
Police vowed to increase patrols in the area as a result.
A spokesperson for the team said: “No-one has permission to be at this location with an air rifle and we appeal to the public to report any incidents via 101 or 999.”
