A SUSPECTED unexploded device was found in Fleets Dam yesterday.
Officers attended the river near to Smithies Road at around 7.30pm (April 27) following a report of a possible Explosive Ordnance Device (EOD) by a local fisherman.
After investigations, it was concluded not to be an EOD.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “We received a call at 7.32pm on April 28 for reports of a possible EOD.
“The Bomb Disposal Team attended and after enquiries concluded that it was not an EOD.”
