RESIDENTS are being warned about bogus tickets that could be making the rounds as indoor venues prepare to open their doors next month.

The fraud and cyber crime unit of South Yorkshire Police has issued a warning ahead of the reopening of cinemas and museums.

A spokesperson said: “The reopening of cinemas and museums will provide criminals with an opportunity to sell you tickets that can be fake or not exist.

“Make sure you take five to check you're purchasing your tickets from a member of the regulatory body STAR by searching the company name at star.org.uk.”
