IT'S that time of the week again where we here at We Are Barnsley give you a run down of road closures across the borough.

A 30mph speed restriction will be introduced on Sheffield Road in Hoyland for approximately three months. The restriction will come into place on April 26 while a haul route for construction workers will be created. The restriction will run from Parkside Road to Park Side Cottages.

Billingley Lane in Middlecliffe will be closed for approximately three days while a washout hydrant is installed. The road will be closed approximately 30 metres from the junction of Thurnscoe Lane from April 26.

Ashfield Close in the town centre will be closed for five days while works to install a telecoms service are carried out. The road will be closed for a distance of roughly 20 metres from the junction with Gawber Road from April 26.

Walkers should be aware that a footpath from Totley Close to Laithes Lane in Athersley will be closed for approximately three weeks while the gas mains are replaced. Work began on Friday and is expected to last into next month.
