A MACHETE was reportedly brandished after a collision between two cars in Wombwell.

On Wednesday (April 14), police were called to Lundhill Road at around 12.30pm after a reported two car collision.

The driver and passenger of one of the cars, exited a blue Ford Fiesta and was pursued on foot by the driver and passenger of the second car who are believed to have been carrying a machete.

It is then reported that the two men attacked them, causing minor injuries.

The suspect men then fled in their vehicle, a silver Ford Fiesta.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Police attended the scene and the victim was taken to hospital via ambulance to be treated for injuries.

“An investigation has been launched and enquiries are underway to find those responsible.
