BARNSLEY Hospital is seeking input from families as they explore whether children would benefit from information leaflets.

The leaflets would provide accessible information to children and young people about the services provided at the hospital.

They could help to reassure and prepare children for hospital visits.

A spokesperson for the hospital said: “The leaflets will allow parents or carers to prepare children for any planned visits or provide reassurance for unplanned visits.

“We are looking at creating illustrations that will provide a fun and visual explanation for children to follow.”

A survey has been created to help staff to understand whether the leaflets would be beneficial.
