IT'S the first day of the February half-term, and families across the borough are urged to remain Covid-safe if they visit any outdoor spaces.
Families are encouraged to visit parks and open spaces but are asked to abide by coronavirus rules such as maintain social-distancing, to avoid eating or drinking in play areas, and to wash or sanitise your hands before and after using play areas.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: "If you’re visiting one of our parks or playgrounds this half term, please consider the guidance currently in place around hands, face, space and take extra care to protect yourself and your family."
Under coronavirus restrictions, residents are permitted to visit public spaces for daily exercise, but can only meet with one person from another household in an outdoor setting.
