Barnsley dubbed 'one of the worst places to live in the country' according to recent poll

BARNSLEY has been named as one of the worst places to live in the country in a recent poll.

More than 125,000 people took part in the annual survey by iLiveHere.co.uk which saw Barnsley get the unsavoury accolade of the 14th-worst place to live in the country.

Eight Yorkshire towns or cities made up the top 20, Huddersfield was ranked as the second-worst.

For the third year running, Peterborough was crowned the worst place to live in England.
