FOUR new properties will be built on the outskirts of the town centre after plans were approved.
They will be added to the rear of Queen’s Road following a successful application, which was given the green light last week.
A host of other works are also set to take place at the site.
PLANNING permission is being sought to demolish two semi-detached houses in Hoyland. If approved, work will take place on Millhouses Street. Public consultation ends on October 16.
PLANS to build two new houses in Penistone have been approved by the council. An application to add the new properties to the west side of Castle Lane were originally submitted in January. These plans were given the green light by Barnsley Council’s planning board last week.

AN ELECTRICITY substation will be added to Kendray Hospital after Barnsley Council deemed plans acceptable. An application for the unit to be added to the Doncaster Road site was originally submitted in June. These plans were given the green light by the council’s planning board last week.
