RESIDENTS of Hemingfield have been urged to remain vigilant after thefts from vehicles have been reported.
South Yorkshire have been made aware of individuals who have been trying car doors and stealing items from vehicles during the night.
A spokesperson for Barnsley South East Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Please ensure that your vehicles are always locked, and all valuable items are removed.
“Do not leave anything on view. Something which you do not see as a valuable item, could be a target for a thief.”
