TWO sisters didn’t let the pandemic stop them from holding their tenth annual Macmillan Coffee Morning – and raising more than £1,500 in the process.

Anna Barron and Sarah Allam held their first Macmillan Coffee Morning in 2010 to help raise money for the people who cared for Anna’s father-in-law, Graham, who was receiving care for prostate cancer.

Graham died the night of the coffee morning, and the sisters vowed to keep raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support to help other families as they had Graham.

Now in their tenth year, the sisters held a virtual coffee morning and a bake sale which helped raise £1,680 for the charity.

Despite the pandemic, Anna and Sarah said they will hold a big event next year to mark a decade of coffee mornings.
