A POPULAR farm has announced that the bonfire night event has been cancelled.
Staff at Cannon Hall Farm, Cawthorne made the decision to cancel the event, which was due to take place in early November, because of restrictions surrounding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
A spokesperson for the farm said: “We are very sorry to announce that we have taken the decision not to run our annual bonfire.
“This is our most long-standing and popular event and one we've worked hard to build over many, many years.
“It is a blow - the loss in revenue this event generates will not be easy to overcome but we just do not feel it would be right or responsible to run it at this time.
“Thank you to everyone who messaged us about this event and we are so sorry to disappoint you.”
