A LOCAL nursing home which has helped residents keep active during lockdown has come second in a national competition.

Prospect House, in Cudworth, took part in the National Care Home Olympics which aims to help residents stay active and promote healthy competition among homes.

“The residents loved it,” said activities co-ordinator, Erica Lemon. “We were given easy exercise challenges to do and the home who did the most won points.

“It was lovely seeing our residents getting active and enjoying themselves and they looked forward to doing the challenges every day.”

The home will receive a certificate for their participation in the event.

“It will be great for the residents to see and for them to know that they all worked hard to achieve second place,” added Erica.
