A NEW campaign has been set up by a community group to celebrate everything that makes Cudworth great during these uncertain times.

Cudworth Businesses and Community Together started the campaign in a bid to show off the village’s prize assets to the rest of the town, while also celebrating the successes within the area.

Chris Fox, the head of the group, told the Chronicle: “Community is very important in Cudworth and it’s been great to see everyone so united in this difficult time.

“Our group Cudworth Businesses and Community Together have launched a new campaign called ‘Love Cudworth’ to celebrate everything that makes Cudworth great.

“We ran the Cudworth Owl Hunt over August, a free activity for parents and children, and cheeky litter posters have been put up asking people to look after our wonderful public areas like the park.”

The group are also looking to help more small businesses in the area throughout September as part of their campaign, asking its residents to shop local so Cudworth can thrive.

“The plan is to produce a third walking map featuring the new faces and the history of the village,” he added.

“We’ve already done a test walk with local author and historian Cliff Gorman and hope to have the map out soon, with reprints of our original two maps.

“Moving forward into September we’re going to be giving shout-outs to the many wonderful small businesses that are based in Cudworth, focusing on the hard working people who own and work for the businesses and put so much back into the community.

“Our little indies really need people’s support right now, so we want people to shop local, shop Cudworth.”
