SOUTH Yorkshire Police is asking for your opinions to help focus on areas that are important to the borough.

Officers are conducting a traffic survey where people can have their say on what the areas of priority for the Road Policing Team should be.

The previous survey highlighted concerns over drivers who are under the influence, with mobile phone users and anti-social behaviour also being flagged as a priority.

Jason Booth, roads policing inspector for South Yorkshire, said: “Last year, we were asking you to have your say on what our focus should be and how we can create safer roads.

“We will always be there to intercept criminals who use our road network to commit crime, we will always be there to respond to emergencies where you need us the most, but your answers allow us to proactively focus on the issues that matter to you.

“We want to create safer roads and with your help, we are able to think of innovative ideas and implement changes.

“Please complete the five minute survey and have your say.”

The survey can be completed here and closes on July 8.
