A POPULAR pasty shop will reopen two of its Barnsley stores from Thursday.
Greggs has announced that 800 of its stores will open but will carry a reduced menu to help ensure social distancing in kitchens.
The stores on May Day Green, in the town centre, and on Wombwell Lane, Stairfoot will reopen in accordance to the new guidelines.
One adult from each household will be permitted to shop in the stores and floor markings will help maintain social distancing.
Greggs bosses also plan to open the remaining 1,000 stores by the end of July.
Chief executive, Roger Whiteside, said: “The health and safety of our colleagues and customers is our priority and for this reason we have put in the time and effort to make a thorough assessment of all shops.
“Although we will open with a reduced range, this will be a significant step in us helping the nation get back up and running and serving the communities that we operate in.”
