POLICE have arrested a man after more than £100,000 of drugs were seized from a property in Worsbrough Common.

A cannabis cultivation was discovered on Middlesex Street on June 4.

Officers from the Operation Fortify team executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Around 243 cannabis plants with a street value of £100,000 were reportedly seized as part of the operation and a 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

“Ilir Istrefaj, of no fixed abode, has since been charged with production of cannabis. He appeared before magistrates on Friday.”
