BARNSLEY Council bosses have taken the decision to cancel all green bin collections for the foreseeable future.
The move was made to divert crews to higher priority coloured bins following the coronavirus outbreak.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “We ask residents to compost their green waste at home if possible.
“Please do not overfill green bins, if they become too heavy to move, the bins may break when emptied in to the wagon.”
