A MAN has suffered life threatening head injuries after he was involved in a collision on Saturday.

At 9.30am, a blue Citroen C2 was travelling along Rotherham Road towards Monk Bretton when it’s thought that the driver lost control and collided head on with a silver Kia Sportage travelling in the other direction.

The Citroen is then said to have left the carriageway and collided with a wall.

The driver of the Citroen, a 29-year-old man, was transported to hospital with life threatening head injuries and the 61-year-old driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage prior to the incident to look at the manner of driving or the incident itself.
