A THEATRE company is bringing back one of its most popular productions to raise money for a children’s hospice.

Wombwell’s Real Music Centre premiered The Kidz Are At It Again, showcasing the best young talent from the local area, six years ago at the town’s Playhouse Theatre.

And the group has announced The Kidz Are At It Again... Again, which will return to the 200-seat theatre in March.

Money raised from ticket sales, which have already surpassed the halfway mark, will go towards Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Mayor of Barnsley Coun Pauline Markham will be in attendance at the show, which will see the cast supported by professional musicians and stage technicians.

Angela Marper, administrator and partner in Real Music Centre, said: “This bodes well for us to reach our self imposed target of £2,000 on the night, from ticket sales, raffle and the mandatory buckets for further voluntary donations.”

Director Helen Ingham added: “It’s wonderful to see our younger members working so hard to produce another successful production, and they are relishing the opportunity to help Bluebell Wood continue their work helping children”.

Anna Gott, community fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that RMC Theatre have kindly chosen to support Bluebell Wood on what promises to be a brilliant night out for all the family.

“The support and hard work of everyone involved will make a real difference to local children and families who are going through the most difficult of times.

“A huge thank you to RMC Theatre Company, the Wombwell Thespians and everyone involved in this fabulous production for all their hard work. We can’t wait.”

The Kidz Are At It Again... Again will be performed at the Playhouse Theatre on Park Street, Wombwell, on March 21.
