A 520-SIGNATURE petition has been handed to Barnsley Council relating to cuts to PCSOs in the town.
The document was started by parish councillor Les Holt, who serves in Shafton, and relates to South Yorkshire Police’s recent announcement that numbers of on-the-beat officers are being cut in favour of recruiting more constables.
Barnsley Council confirmed the petition has been passed on to the police.
