NEW cremators are set to be installed at Barnsley Crematorium over the next two years.
The four new cremators will be installed at the Crematorium on Doncaster Road and they will be larger and accommodate people of all sizes.
At present, the smaller existing machines has meant some residents are required to travel outside the borough to be cremated.
The installation will be divided into two phases. The first will see two new cremators installed this summer. The second phase will see another two installed in summer 2020. Throughout the work two cremators will stay operational.
