A HOSPICE are encouraging residents to dig out their leather jackets and rock and roll the night away at a fundraising event next month.

Barnsley Hospice will be holding a Grease and Dirty Dancing tribute show, ‘Those Winter Nights’ on Saturday February 9 a show performed by singing duo Rock and Love, at the Holiday Inn Dodworth.

The pair will belt out all the classic hits and re-live some of the most iconic moments from the two films. Barnsley Hospice is hoping the event will attract revellers from across South Yorkshire.

Events fundraiser Martyn Hughes said: “Grease and Dirty Dancing are two of the greatest musical films ever, so we’re really excited to bring those well-known hits to Barnsley. Rock and Love have performed all over the UK and are sure to make it a night to remember. Why not have the Time of Your Life and raise money for a wonderful cause at the same time?”

Tickets for Those Winter Nights cost £14, with one free ticket available for every ten bought. Doors will open at 7:30pm, with last orders at midnight.

Bar meals will be available and there will be a raffle. For more information or to book your place, visit www.barnsleyhospice.org or call 01226 244244.
