Author says thanks – 55 years on from Kes

NOTTINGHAM author Dr David Fox paid a visit to Barnsley last week to thank two local artists for their help and support with his latest book.

Dr Fox was a falconer at the time the iconic film Kes was released – and now 55 years later his book Discovering Kes has been released.

He came to Barnsley on Tuesday to thank both Ronnie Steele and Richard Kitson for their help.

Ronnie said: “The book is a great read and I am delighted to be able to wholeheartedly recommend it.”
