A GROUP of friends who raised over £3,000 last year by smashing the Sheffield Half Marathon carrying additional weighted vests weighing 20kg, have a new mission for 2024.
Ryan Hinchcliffe and his friends raised £3,150 for Barnsley Hospital Charity Neonatal Unit which cared for Ryan’s son who was born two months prematurely.
Freddie was born in August 2022 and Ryan wanted to give something back in appreciation of the care that his partner Hayley and Freddie received.
This year 'the Super Seven’ have increased the intensity, tackling the Yorkshire Marathon in October, again with the added 20kg weight.
