A NEW support group for residents who have been affected by cancer is set to launch later this month.
The first session will take place at 2pm on April 16, at the Barnsley Healthcare Federation’s Priory Campus on Pontefract Road, Lundwood.
A spokesperson for the federation said: “This group is for all carers, loved ones, relatives, and friends of those living with cancer, and affected by cancer.
“The group is also open to those who have lost somebody to cancer too.
“It’s free to attend and refreshments are provided.”
The sessions will continue on the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm to 7pm and the third Tuesday at 2pm to 3pm.
