CHARITIES are being invited to apply for a stall at a charity market in Hoyland.

The event at Hoyland Market on Tuesday May 28, will give animal welfare charities a free platform to reach a wider audience.

A second charity market planned for September will be open to all charities.

Applications are open for the May event, where our regular Tuesday stalls will also be trading.

The council is also encouraging applications from traders selling pet or other animal-focused products to join the nature-themed event, with the usual trading fees applicable.

The charity markets will add to the calendar of events at borough markets, which aim to make them more appealing to a wide range of shoppers and visitors.

Charities wishing to apply for a stall at the event on May 28 are invited to email PrincipalTownsmarkets@barnsley.gov.uk for an application form.
