PLANNING Round-up: PLANS to convert a shop into a new micro pub have been submitted to the council.

If approved, the new drinking establishment will be created on High Street, Worsbrough Dale. A total of 11 neighbouring properties have been made aware of the plans with no appeals to date. Public consultation ends on March 25.

PLANS to build a new property in High Hoyland have been rejected by the council’s planning board. An application for the house, on High Hoyland Lane, was originally submitted in September. However, these plans were turned down by Barnsley Council last week.

PLANS to erect an agricultural building at a Silkstone farm have been approved by the council. An application for work to take place on Lower Coates Farm, on Blacker Green Lane, was originally submitted in January. These plans were given the green light by the council’s planning board earlier this week.

PLANS to erect a new property in Wombwell have been approved by the council’s planning board. An application was submitted in April last year for the new house to built adjacent to Stonyford Road. The plans were given the green light by Barnsley Council’s planning department earlier this week.

PLANNING permission is being sought to make alterations to a McDonald’s restaurant in Stairfoot. If approved, an additional hot water plant will be placed on the roof of the Wombwell Lane site. A total of three neighbouring properties have been made aware of the plans with no appeals to date.

PLANNING permission is being sought to demolish parts of a Worsbrough property and replace them with an extension. If approved, work will take place on Kingwell Road. A total of four neighbouring properties have been made aware of the plans with no appeals to date. Public consultation ends on March 12.

PLANS to install a number of dosing kiosks at the Lundwood Waste Water Treatment Works have been approved by the council. An application was originally submitted in December for the work to take place on Lund Lane. These plans were given the green light by Barnsley Council’s planning department earlier this week.

PLANNING permission is being sought to erect a garden building in Thurlstone. If approved, the work will take place on Belle Royd Farm, on Folly Lane. The public can have their say on the plans until March 22.
