PLANNING Round-up: The public can now have their say on plans to bring a private dental practice to the town centre.

Plans to introduce the five-surgery dental practice at a vacant unit in the Glass Works, adjacent to The Fragrance Shop, were originally submitted in January. However, these plans were withdrawn by the applicant VDSB Ltd, who are in the dentistry industry.

New plans for a four-surgery practice were submitted earlier this week. Public consultation is open until March 14 and residents can submit their views on the council’s planning portal.

PLANNING permission is being sought to erect an extension to a town centre building to create a new flat. If approved, the work will take place on Regent Street. A total of eleven neighbouring properties have been made aware of the application with no appeals to date. Public consultation ends on March 18.

PLANS to install a heat pump to the rear of a Royston property have been approved by the council. An application for the work to take place on Ruston Drive was originally submitted in November. These plans were given the green light by the council’s planning board earlier this week.
