A MAN has been charged with murder in connection to the death of Lazarus Makono in Goldthorpe.
Officers were called on Wednesday at 1.21am to a house on Cooperative Street to reports of a stabbing. Lazarus Makono, 26, suffered serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation was launched with detectives working around the clock to find those responsible.
A total of five arrests have been made in connection to Lazarus’ death. Today, Terrance Mlotshwa, 27, of Ripley Avenue, Derby, has been charged with murder. He remains in police custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A 27-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday remains in police custody. Previous arrests of two women, aged 20 and 25, and a 32-year-old man remain released on police bail.
