A WORSBROUGH man is hosting a charity event tomorrow in a bid to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support who supported his mum before she died.
Sam Chadwick, 35, will host the event at Record Junkee in Sheffield city centre – with all the money raised going to the charity.
Sam, who is a musician himself, will be performing alongside a number of other local artists.
He said: “It’s in aid of my mother Karen Chadwick who passed away in lockdown due to cancer. We’re wanting to raise as much money as possible.
“Macmillan were absolutely amazing with my mother when we were really in need.
“I used to play in the band Velcro Teddy Bears and this is involving my solo stuff.
“There’s going to be three other acts on the evening – Sammy Murdoch will be opening up, Rich Brown, I’ll be doing some and a great Blur cover band called Blurz will be finishing off the evening.”
